Mike's Musings

I'll be posting my musings from time to time on various subjects some just because I feel like it, others because I'm mad, still others because I want to make the world a better place. Now that the "d" is done, it's time to move on to other things. I'm reminding myself that life is just too short to focus on just one thing.

Another Year Older, Another Year Dumber!

As I turn another year on the age odometer, I realize that I'm not any wiser than I was before, I just know that I'm going to be "just as naieve" and optomistic as I was when I was younger, and I'm learning to live with that. It's just too bad I'm having to go through this birthday alone. I have planned out a nice evening for myself, however. From dinner at one of the fancy local restaurants to karaoke at a bar after and maybe a movie (or maybe not). Regardless, I plan on spending my birthday pampering myself!

Leaps of Faith

I figured out something this past few weeks that makes me feel unusually sentimental. Don't ask me why as I don't know, but I have come to the conclusion that life is just a bunch of "leaps of faith." Some of them are into the great unknown, others are into waters we may fear to tread, still others follow where others have gone before. As you journey into your own bunch of leaps, let me wish you good luck and Godspeed!
